How do I schedule a blood draw appointment?
Visit our online portal at www.scheduling.torrancememorial.org to book your appointment. Select the most convenient location, date, and time for your visit. You can also schedule by calling our dedicated client service team at 310-257-5724 between the hours of 7 am and 5:30 pm.

How do I modify an existing appointment?
To reschedule, call our dedicated Client Service team at 310-257-5724 between the hours of 7 am and 5:30 pm.

How do I cancel an existing appointment?
Call our dedicated Client Service team at 310-257-5724 between the hours of 7 am and 5:30 pm. Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance to allow us to accommodate other patients.

Are there penalties for canceling an appointment?
No penalties apply. However, we encourage timely cancellations to optimize appointment availability for all patients.

Results and Lab Orders

When can I see my results?
Most results are available in your Patient Portal within 24-72 hours. Some specialized tests may take longer. You will receive a notification when your results are ready.

What if I don’t have access to the patient portal?

Patients without a portal account can request their results by contacting their physician and/or by visiting medical records in person with a valid photo ID to obtain a printed copy of your results.

Does the doctor's order for a blood draw expire?
Yes, lab orders typically expire after 12 months.

How long do I have to schedule an appointment before my doctor's order expires?
We recommend scheduling your appointment as soon as possible to secure a time that works best for you and to ensure your order remains valid. If you have any questions about expiration timelines, please contact your doctor’s office for more details.

Preparation and Documentation

Should I be fasting?
Some tests, such as glucose or lipid panels, require fasting. Follow the preparation instructions provided by your doctor. Also, you can contact our dedicated client service team at 310-257-5724

Do I need a copy of my lab order to schedule an appointment?
Generally, providing the order details (e.g., doctor’s name, and test specifics) is sufficient. However, if your physician did not place an electronic order, ensure you bring a copy of your lab order to the draw station. For clarification, contact your physician or our client services team.

Insurance Plans Accepted

Torrance Memorial Laboratory accepts Medicare, PPO and select HMO insurance plans. Discounted cash pricing available.

All draw stations will be closed:

  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • The day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Day
