Rhea Mathew, MD

Dr. Rhea Mathew grew up in Redlands, California, and stayed in-state for college at UCLA, where she majored in Neuroscience. She went on to earn a master’s in Global Health Sciences at UCSF, which gave her the chance to work on international health projects throughout med school and residency. She headed to the East Coast for medical school at Drexel in Philadelphia—but quickly realized she missed the California sunshine. She's grateful to have had the opportunity to complete emergency medicine residency at UCLA, where she served as one of the chief residents. Dr. Mathew is very excited to be joining Torrance Emergency Physicians, a group committed to excellent and compassionate care. Outside of the hospital, she loves spending time with friends and family, cooking, staying active, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.
