Dr. Ellen Baker grew up locally in the South Bay. She completed undergraduate at Loyola Marymount University and her medical degree at Loyola Stritch University School of Medicine in Chicago. Her first year of internship was at the Naval Hospital San Diego, after which she served the military as a Naval physician during the Gulf War stationed in Okinawa, Japan and also as a military physician at the Marine Corps Air Station in San Diego. Returning to civilian life, she completed emergency medicine residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She has travelled on international medical missions to Papua New Guinea and Thailand. Dr. Baker is board certified in Emergency Medicine and has been an attending physician at Torrance Memorial Medical Center for more than 20 years. Hobbies include being with family and friends, beach days, hiking and camping.
