David Weiss, MD

David Weiss, MD, is board certified in internal medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology at University of California, Davis. He earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Weiss completed his residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and was chosen as Kennamer Fellow allowing him to work closely with multiple subspecialties to improve the care of surgical patients.

For the past 26 years, Dr. Weiss was a partner in the Westchester Medical Group/Center for Heart and Health working closely with his patients in efforts to empower them to take an active role in their health. Focusing on optimal lifestyle choices with an emphasis in exercise, healthy dietary
habits as well as appropriate preventive screening, his goal is to maximize quality of life and minimize medical and pharmaceutical interventions. He believes a doctor-patient relationship is a collaborative process involving guidance and the sharing of decisions.

Dr. Weiss enjoys a variety of sports including a weekly basketball game, soccer, and occasional surfing. While not looking forward to an empty nest in the next few years, he is re-considering his love/hate relationship with golf. He is fluent in Spanish.
