David H. Stern, MD

Dr. Stern has practiced medicine in the South Bay since 1988, including 20 years of solo practice in Torrance before joining Torrance Memorial Physician Network in 2016. He has been board certified in Family Medicine since 1992, rectifying in 1999, 2006, and 2016. He has a strong interest in preventive medicine and diabetes, and most enjoys the experience of helping patients take ownership of their health.

Dr. Stern received his BS in Life Sciences at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, and his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at UCLA in Westwood in 1989. Dr. Stern has received various recognitions and awards for his work as a primary care physician in the South Bay.

Outside of practice, Dr. Stern is an avid tennis player, and enjoys photography and exploring jazz. He is also a dyed-in-the-wool Cornhusker fan.
