Public Emergency Message: LA County Fire Emergency Update

Torrance Memorial is actively monitoring the wildfires impacting areas in and around Los Angeles County. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these devastating fires. Torrance Memorial Medical Center and our surrounding outpatient offices and urgent care centers remain fully operational and unaffected by the fires.

Air Quality Alert - Smoke Advisory in Effect  

Smoke and ash from the fires are impacting air quality which can cause significant health risks. Take the following steps to protect you and your loved ones.   

  • Stay Indoors: Keep windows and doors closed to limit exposure to smoke and ash. 

  • Use Air Purifiers: If possible, use HEPA filters or air purifiers to keep indoor air clean. 

  • Limit Physical Activity: Avoid strenuous activities, especially outdoors. 

  • Watch for Breathing Issues: Symptoms like wheezing, coughing, or shortness of breath could signal a serious problem—seek medical care if they occur.
