What is
MyTorranceMemorial?
The portal is your personal health connection to portions of your medical
record. Here you can securely access information about your health at
any time – conveniently request appointments, view test results,
print immunization records, view medication lists and more.
What is the portal
NOT intended for?
The portal is NOT to be used for emergency related health care issues.
If you are experiencing a health care emergency, call 911 or visit the
nearest emergency room. If you have questions pertaining to your specific
medical care or needs, please contact your health care provider directly.
Who can participate?
The patient portal is available to all Torrance Memorial patients who are
12 years of age and older.
Are there any fees to use the portal?
No, it is a complimentary tool provided to you by Torrance Memorial. There
are no charges for using the portal.
Family and Proxy Access
Can I request access to my child or another adult’s portal information?
Yes. Proxy accounts are available for caregivers of seniors and patients
with special healthcare needs. Parents with legal custody of a child up
to the age of 12 may also request proxy access to their child’s
account. Proxy status continues after age 12 but will convert to limited
status as required by state law. For more information, please talk to
your physician’s office.
How do I get access to my child’s or another adult’s portal account?
To receive access to your child’s information, please contact their
doctor’s office or Health Information Management team.
What is the difference between teen and parent proxy access to a teen’s account?
For patients between the ages of 12 and 18 years, full access to the Patient
Portal will be available to the individual patient (your child). This
means that the patient may take part in their own portal account, allowing
them to take part in their own healthcare. The patient username and password
for access to the account may be shared with the patient as early as their
next visit or at any subsequent visit when the patient and provider mutually
agree that this would be beneficial. Specific information will be restricted.
Parental and guardian access will be limited to emailing your child's
doctor and viewing patient-entered flow sheets, immunizations, health
reminders and allergies, however full access to the patient's record
will not be authorized.
Can I have one account for my whole family?
No. For security purposes, each member of your family must have their own
individual account.
