A group of young men dedicated to giving back to their community presented a gift to the Emergency Department to bring patients comfort during their hospital visit. Representatives from the local service organization, Los Hermanos, made and delivered more than two dozen fleece blankets. The colorful and decorative blankets help keep patients warm during their visit and also give them something to take home with them after their stay. The boys have donated nearly 100 blankets to the E.D. in the last three years. Los Hermanos is a non-profit organization made up of high school-aged boys who live on the Peninsula. The group participates in numerous community service projects throughout the year.
