MacKenzie Curtis
Mackenzie is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in pediatrics,
diabetes, and gastrointestinal disorders. She is a part of the Outpatient
Diabetes Education Program and Medical Nutrition Therapy Office at the
Torrance Memorial Specialty Center. She is currently an instructor of
Torrance Memorial’s Healthy Ever After program, Cancer and Nutrition
classes, and Diabetes Self-Management Training Program nutrition classes.
Her nutrition interest began at a young age leading to her first nutrition
presentation as a high school senior. Mackenzie completed her undergraduate
degree at Keene State College in New Hampshire followed by a dietetic
internship through Oregon State University. She also works at Harbor-UCLA
Medical Center where she provides nutrition care for both adult and pediatric
patients. She has been practicing dietetics for the past five years and
has grown to love the community she serves and the impact she is able
to make by promoting health and wellness. Mackenzie aims to provide tailored
nutrition advice to all clients to support long term, healthy lifestyle
changes. Outside of work her favorite hobbies include hiking, running,
shopping at the farmer’s market, and cooking.

Andrea Guastamacchio
Andrea became interested in the field of nutrition after learning how food
can be used to prevent and manage many diseases. She was excited by the
prospect of helping the community become more proactive and knowledgeable
about using food as medicine. Andrea is a proud graduate of California
State University, Long Beach where she completed her Bachelor of Science
in Nutrition and Dietetics. She went on to complete her Dietetic Internship
at New York Institute of Technology. Andrea is a Registered Dietitian
Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator; she has worked in the Outpatient
Diabetes Education Program and the Medical Nutrition Therapy Office at
Torrance Memorial for over 16 years and currently teaches the nutrition
classes for Torrance Memorial’s Diabetes Self-Management Training
Program. Andrea specializes in Diabetes education as well as sees clients
for weight management, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, heart healthy
lifestyle modifications and more. She enjoys helping clients make lifestyle
changes and learning their stories to help them succeed. She is a mom
who loves eating and cooking delicious and healthy food with friends and
family. She also enjoys what the California lifestyle offers: lots of
fresh produce, sunshine, and the beach!

Sonia Villasenor
Sonia is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who has been working at Torrance
Memorial for 25 years. She specializes in oncology patients and her goal
and passion is helping cancer patients meet their nutritional needs using
evidence-based recommendations. Sonia’s counseling incorporates
topics including prevention of weight loss, maintenance of optimal nutrition
status during cancer treatment, and managing treatment side effects (taste
changes, mouth sores, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) to improve clinical
outcomes and quality of life. If needed, she can provide recommendations
for nutrition support including tube feeding and parenteral nutrition
support. Sonia also has experience with conditions including hypertension,
diabetes, and gastrointestinal disorders and is building on her knowledge
of metabolic and bariatric surgeries as well. Sonia earned her Bachelor
of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from California State University,
Long Beach. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Utah State University.
Sonia is bilingual (English/Spanish) and can provide nutrition education
to Spanish speaking patients. She loves spending quality time with her
two children and her adorable granddaughter. She also enjoys cooking,
exercising, and going on long walks by the beach.

Kristen Hung
Kristen is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who has a passion for disease
prevention through nutrition and for helping clients develop a healthier
relationship with food. She graduated from the University of California,
Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science/Dietetics
and completed her Master of Public Health degree at the University of
California, Los Angeles. Kristen completed her dietetic internship at
the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System where she subsequently served
as an inpatient clinical dietitian. Kristen now serves at Torrance Memorial
in both inpatient and outpatient capacities. As part of the Medical Nutrition
Therapy team she specializes in adult weight management and bariatrics,
and also provides consultation for chronic diseases including lipid disorders,
hypertension, pre-diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, and more. She
frequently leads classes for pre-diabetes, adult weight management (CORE4),
and pediatric weight management (Healthy Ever After), and often speaks
at community events. Kristen enjoys creating fun and healthy meals for
her family and being a mom to her spirited toddler. In her free time she
might be found dancing, reading, or enjoying the outdoors.

Noel (Duong) Le
Noel is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who aims to heal and nourish
by guiding clients to make healthy diet and lifestyle changes. She is
a graduate from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and completed
her dietetic internship through the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
Working at Torrance Memorial, she enjoys navigating the unique challenges
presented by both inpatient and outpatient care, combined with serving
a diverse client population. In her experience, she has worked with an
array of conditions/illnesses including cancer, kidney disease, gastrointestinal
disorders, malnutrition, and pre-diabetes. Noel is also passionate about
continuing to build on her expertise involving metabolic and bariatric
surgeries and adult weight management. She has spoken at various community
events and currently leads community classes including pre-operative and
post-operative nutrition classes for bariatric patients and CORE4 adult
weight management classes. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new
places, being a plant-mom, and daydreaming about the day she can finally
adopt a furry four-legged pup.
