The Lundquist Lurie Cardiovascular Institute is ranked among the top heart
care programs in Southern California and staffed by leading cardiology
specialists. Torrance Memorial provides the best possible heart disease
care, including heart disease prevention and risk management, innovative
medical therapies, surgical techniques and minimally invasive procedures.
Our cardiologists and surgeons have years of advance training in their
respective specialties and offer a level of experience that only comes
from treating high volumes of patients with conditions ranging from routine
to complex.
A Powerful Partnership
Cedars-Sinai affiliation gives Torrance Memorial patients access to advanced
cardiovascular care close to home.
Torrance Memorial Medical Center’s specialists have been providing
outstanding cardiovascular care to South Bay residents in our state-of-the-art
facilities for years. Now, our partnership with Cedars-Sinai – that
includes access to their world-renowned cardiovascular team – means
the services we offer have expanded even further.
In addition to the full range of cardiovascular services offered by Torrance
Memorial specialists, members of the Cedars-Sinai cardiovascular team
are now available to provide on-site, in-person care at Torrance Memorial.
If you require advanced heart and vascular care, our team will work collaboratively
with Cedars-Sinai specialists to diagnose and treat your condition.
Torrance Memorial patients will also have the option to participate in
clinical trials offered at Cedars-Sinai, providing South Bay patients
with expanded access to innovative cardiovascular treatments years before
they become available to the public. In many cases, patients can remain
at Torrance Memorial – and close to home and family – while
receiving care from Cedars-Sinai’s renowned cardiovascular experts.

The Lundquist Endowment
Thanks to the generosity of Melanie and Richard Lundquist, South Bay residents
have access to state-of-the-art technology, the latest cardiovascular
treatments, and a diverse array of early detection and prevention. Their
$10 million gift helped fund the new cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology
labs, a vascular surgery suite and an enhanced intensive care unit. Endowment
funds will also support awareness and prevention programs. Another gift
of $3 million allowed the expansion of the
emergency room, which is also named in honor of the Lundquists.
