Statement of Need: Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide and recognizing patients at risk is the key to early interventions and decreased morbidity and mortality. Please join us to hear Drs. Marc Gillinov, Gary Ansel, Joanna Chikwe, Donald Kirby, Paula Eboli, Aziz Ghaly and other nationally renowned leaders in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases provide evidence-based information about new treatment guidelines and advancements in integrated medicine and nutrition, heart failure, cardiac surgery, new interventions, stroke, cardiometabolic disorders/diabetes and valvular, coronary and peripheral artery disease.
Educational Objectives: Upon completion of this program participants should be able to:
Identify patients at risk for cardiovascular disease
Be aware of cultural disparities associated with cardiovascular disease risk,
including ethnicity, age, gender and smoking
Select appropriate diagnostic tools and therapeutic options

Describe ways to prevent cardiovascular disease
