Other Ways to Help

Las Amigas

Las Amigas of Torrance Memorial Medical Center was organized in 1980 as a support group of the medical center's Health Care Foundation. Las Amigas members raise funds for the medical center through special events and participate in many worthwhile projects. Membership activities include general meetings and the Holiday Festival. For membership information, click here or call the Health Care Foundation at 310-517-4703.

Ambassadors

Ambassadors provide financial support to Torrance Memorial. Members are invited to participate in the annual golf tournament, Holiday Festival and cocktails and dinner in late Spring at a private estate. Funds raised by the Ambassadors support various community benefit programs. For membership information, click here or call the Health Care Foundation at 310-517-4703.

Professional Advisory Council

The mission of the Professional Advisory Council (PAC) is to help donors with charitable, financial and estate planning services when a philanthropic gift is designated to the Torrance Memorial Health Care Foundation.

Some council members work in our community as CPAs, accountants, financial planners and attorneys. Others are experts in real estate, investments or insurance. All are trained to assist donors with tax, estate and income challenges. Planned giving consultations may include the design of charitable remainder trusts, annuity trusts, lead trusts and life estates.

The PAC sponsors financial planning seminars and meets four times annually. For member information, click here or call Joe Ward at 310-784-4843.

Heritage Society

If you are thinking about adding Torrance Memorial Medical Center to your estate plan or have included the medical center in your will, you are invited to participate in the Heritage Society. The Heritage Society is designed to recognize individuals who want to give something back to their community through a financial planned gift to the hospital. Heritage Society members provide an endowment that will serve South Bay residents for generations to come.

As a member of the Torrance Memorial Heritage Society, you will receive annual recognition in our publication, an invitation to an annual membership event and a special gift when joining.

To learn more about the Heritage Society and how you can contribute to the future health of your community, call Joe Ward, Director of Gift Planning for the Torrance Memorial Health Care Foundation, at 310-784-4843 or e-mail him at Joe.Ward@tmmc.com.
