Massage
Beyond feeling good, therapeutic massage offers a range of benefits, including increased blood supply and nutrients to the muscles, removal of toxins and strengthening of the immune system. Massage types available include: Swedish, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, shiatsu and pregnancy.
Reflexology
Reflexology offers gentle stimulation using thumb and finger techniques to activate nerve endings and reflex points in the ears, hands and feet. Reflexology sessions are deeply relaxing and help the body rejuvenate itself. Sessions are conducted with the client fully clothed.
Reiki
Reiki is an ancient system of balancing the energy fields of the body. A standard treatment includes the placing of hands on positions around the head, shoulders, stomach and feet. Sessions are conducted with the client fully clothed in a comfortable, relaxed position.
Acupressure
Acupressure is a healing art based on the principle that there are many energy pathways that feed life into the body. Acupressure and acupuncture employ the same philosophies, however, with acupressure only the gentle touch of the fingers is applied, no needles.
CranioSacral
CranioSacral massage is a gentle, holistic approach to bolstering the body's self-healing capabilities. Using a light touch, the therapist feels for and removes subtle restrictions within the connective tissue that may have resulted from injury, trauma, or everyday stress. The outcome is restored range of motion, decreased pain and an increased sense of well-being.
Lymphatic
Lymphatic massage stimulates the immune system to bolster resistance to disease. Light-pressure strokes stimulate the movement of lymph fluid to reduce congestion that can lead to toxicity and decreased energy. This treatment can also be useful for those suffering from post-surgical fluid build-up (edema).
