Welcome to Torrance Memorial Medical Center.
We are pleased that you have chosen Torrance Memorial to receive your medical care. Founded in 1925, this non-profit medical center has a reputation of providing quality health care to the South Bay community.

As we strive to provide excellent service, we have recruited and trained an exceptional and caring health care team that is knowledgeable in the latest high technology and equipment used to assist in your diagnosis and treatment.

In order to acquaint you with some of the procedures, services and health care professionals with whom you may come in contact during your stay at Torrance Memorial, we have prepared this Patient Information Guide. Once you are an inpatient, you may also wish to refer to Channels 44, 45, and 46, known as the Video on Demand channels. To view these programs, follow the instructions on the screen.  The programs provides an overview about Torrance Memorial.

Torrance Memorial's address is 3330 Lomita Blvd., Torrance, CA 90505. Family members and friends can reach patients by calling 310-325-9110 and asking for patients either by their room numbers or complete name. Friends and family may also e-mail patients if they are staying overnight at Torrance Memorial.

We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible and recommend that any special needs or requests be directed to your nurse. You will be receiving an informational letter which provides an overview of the daily routines for the department in which you are staying. Please ask questions and clarify your expectations with your nurse or a supervisor who is available 24 hours a day.

A copy of the State of California document on "Patient Rights," as defined by the American Hospital Association, is available in your Patient Information Guide. You are encouraged to read this material in order to better understand our mutual responsibilities and commitments to help meet your health care needs.

Tours for Adults are for groups who would like to see Torrance Memorial. Tours include visits to radiology, laboratory, emergency department, and your special interests. For more information, call Volunteer Services, 310-517-4752.

Please let us know how we can best serve you.
