Helping Those Who Need It
We realize that hospital care can be expensive and is often unexpected.
To help meet the needs of low-income, uninsured and underinsured patients,
Torrance Memorial has a Financial Assistance Program for Full Charity
or Partial Charity Care to assist with payment.
Eligibility for financial assistance is based on an evaluation of income
and expense information. Patients must meet eligibility requirements and
complete an application to qualify.
Income Qualification Levels
For patients whose family income is 200% or less of the Federal Poverty
Level (FPL), their entire bill may be written off.
For patient s whose family income is from 200%-350% of the Federal Poverty
Level (FPL), the patient liability will be no more than what Medicare
would have paid for the service (usually a discount of 70-80% from billed charges).
