Dr. Ringold has been in private practice in the Southbay since 1980. He graduated from Temple University School of Liberal Arts, Cum Laude and from Temple University Medical School with honors. After serving two years In the United States Public Health Service, he trained at the Philadelphia Veterans Hospital and at Jefferson Medical College in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
After three years in private practice in Pennsylvania, he moved to California in 1971 to join the Southern California Permanente Medical Group as staff physician and endocrinology consultant. Nine years later he opened an office in Palos Verdes and then moved his practice to Torrance in 1985.
He is a member of the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Diabetes Association, and both the California and Los Angeles County medical associations. He served on the board of the South Bay Independent Physicians for the past 4 years. As Associate Professor of Medicine at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, he has been supervising trainees in the endocrinology clinics since 1973.
Leisure time is spent backpacking, camping, gardening and tending to a newly planted mini-vineyard. The importance of exercise is shared with his patient's through regular workouts at a local gym. He enjoys classical music, opera and plays both violin and piano. However, his most pleasurable experience is visiting his three sons and nine grandchildren.
