Dr. Lowe is a distinguished graduate of the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. While at UCLA, he performed research on the biology and treatment of leukemia in collaboration with Drs. Schiller and Territo. He then continued in Hematology/Oncology at UCLA Harbor and subsequently The City of Hope where he was a protege of Dr. Robert Figlin, Director of Oncology. Dr. Figlin said of him, "Dr. Lowe is clearly one of the outstanding physicians at City of Hope. Tom has exceptional clinical judgement and an impressive fund of knowledge. He is also absolutely reliable." Dr. Lowe is the author of the breast chemotherapy section in the textbook Breast Surgical Techniques and Interdisciplinary Management from Dirbas and Scott-Conner. His specialty interests in oncology include the treatment of breast, ovarian, lung, colon, and prostate cancers. Dr. Lowe is also an expert in the treatment of blood disorders and all hematologic malignancies.
