Dr. Jilani trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri and in Hematology/Oncology at UCLA. He then became an instructor in the UCLA Division of Hematology/Oncology and published both in the laboratory and in the clinic. On his leaving UCLA to join Cancer Care Associates, Dr. John Glaspy, Director of the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, made the comment, "Syed Jilani is the best oncologist to come out of the UCLA program in 20 years. We're sorry he has chosen not to remain at UCLA. Our loss is Cancer Care Associate's gain." Dr. Jilani is an expert at treating breast, lung, prostate, and colon cancer and all of the hematologic malignancies. He serves on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at Torrance Memorial Hospital and on the Oncology Committee at Little Company of Mary, San Pedro. He is the Chairman of the Department of Medicine, and Chairman of the Quality Assurance Commitee at Little Company of Mary Hospital. Dr Jilani is the Clinical Director of Cancer Care Associates.
