Physician BioDr. Chan graduated from medical school and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA. Following a year on the UCLA faculty, he went to Stanford University for oncology. Dr. Chan is a longstanding instructor at the Revlon/UCLA Breast Center and has trained numerous medical students and oncologists in breast cancer treatment. He is the author of the highly acclaimed book Breast Cancer: Real Questions/Real Answers, a guide for patients and families. He was instrumental in developing the UCLA Translational Research Institute, a clinical research program affiliated with the UCLA Division of Hematology/Oncology. That research has included many clinical trials in breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, colon cancer and lymphoma. Dr. Chan is Program Director for Oncology at Torrance Memorial Hospital.
