February 2010
  • Demolition of 3250 Lomita Blvd. medical office building. See photos from the construction.
July 2010
  • New traffic signal on Lomita Blvd. at Hospital & Technology Drive, a newly named private street
  • New entrance off Lomita Blvd. onto Hospital & Technology Drive
  • Construction of Emergency Department trauma elevator begins
  • Patient discharge area moved from front of hospital to West entrance
  • Emergency vehicles redirected to approach medical center campus from Skypark Drive instead of Lomita Blvd. 
August 2010 - July 2011
  • Construction of buildings that will ultimately connect existing hospital to new Main Tower
  • Front parking lot closed, all parking moved to Main Parking Structure
August 2011
  • New Main Tower construction begins
March 2013
  • Employees begin parking at Honeywell property on Lomita Blvd., freeing West Parking Structure and Skypark Parking Lot for additional patient and visitor parking
August 2015
  • Planned completion of construction and licensing followed by occupation of new Main Tower
  • Main hospital entrance shifts to the new Main Tower
