the mind and spirit. Whether you need information, guidance or simply
companionship, you are invited to take advantage of these helpful groups.
Women's Cancer Support
This gathering of women offers an opportunity to share stories, gather
information and be surrounded by others who have embarked on a similar
journey of healing. Facilitated by Kathey Calderon Lacey, NP, MFT. Meets
first Tuesday of every month from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. For more information
Cancer Survivors in Transition After Treatment
This is a gathering of men and women sharing stories, healing and learning
new tools to cope with life changes. Facilitated by Kathy Calderon Lacey,
NP, MFT and Jessielyn Martinez, RN, BSN, OCN every Monday at 6 pm to 7:30

Family Cancer Support Group
A drop-in group for the family members and loved ones of hospitalized cancer
patients. No reservations or registration is required. Held on Mondays
from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm in the 2 North Family Room. For more information
"Take Heart" Support Group
A peer support group for individuals with heart disease and their significant
others. "Take Heart" is facilitated by a person who has experienced
a cardiac event. This service is offered free. Monthly meetings are held
on the first Wednesday of every month, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. For more information

Information and nurturing support for people providing care for another.
The drop-in group meets weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30—8:00 p.m. in

Ongoing information, discussion and support related to life with diabetes.

Grief and Bereavement
Bereavement Support Group
Available Monday evenings from 6:00 pm. to 7:30 pm. and Thursday afternoons
from 3:00 pm. to 4:30 pm. in the Health Conference Center. Come when you

COPD Support Group (Lungs for Life)
An exciting support group that will provide information and education to
graduates of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program and the community, living
with chronic lung conditions. Families and caregivers are also welcome
to attend. The support group meets every 9 weeks at 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Provides stroke patients and family caregivers education and support; meets

Amputee Support Group
Quarterly discussion group to assist in the physical and psychological
impact of amputation. 2

Depression Support Group
An ongoing support group for people dealing with depression or bipolar
disorder. Meets the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, 10:00 am to 12:00

nd Saturday of the month. Group is co-sponsored with the Arthritis Foundation.

Lymphedema Discussion Group
Offered by Torrance Memorial and offers information and education to anyone
i interested in learning about lymphedema. Held the last Tuesday of every

Group provides education and emotional support for ostomates; Facilitated

Parkinson's Disease Support Group
This support group features open discussion as well as education via guest
speakers for those with Parkinson's Disease. Family members and friends
are welcome to attend. Meets the 2nd Saturday of each month, 2:00 - 4:00
