AARP Driver Safety

In this class taught by an AARP instructor, you will review essential driving concepts, learn techniques to help compensate for age-related physical changes that affect driving ability and become updated on current laws of the road. Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive a California DMV certificate which may qualify you for an appropriate discount on your automobile insurance.

Join this fun class designed to improve your memory by participating in stimulating and enjoyable games and activities. Using the latest research on brain development you will progress through a series of exercises, games and techniques to improve your memory.

Changing Behaviors and How to Manage Them

A person who has dementia can act in different and unpredictable ways and caring for them may become a greater challenge.

Common behavior challenges such as agitation, confusion, repetition, sundowning and wandering will be discussed along with techniques you can use to better handle difficult situations.

Participants will be introduced to several different disciplines that can assist them in long-term improvement of balance skills.
