Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Thursdays at 7 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. For more information, contact Kim Nakae, 310-784-4879.

Amputee Support Group is a group that meets quarterly in collaboration with the Mutual Amputee Aid Foundation. This is a free group offered to those who have just recently experienced an amputation or have had one for a while. Friends and families of amputees are also welcome. Burn Support Group is designed to meet the special needs of burn patients and their families by assisting them in dealing with the physical and emotional problems related to burn injuries. Group members also have the unique opportunity to receive valuable educational information on continuing care of burn injuries from physicians and other specialists. Caregiver Support Group is an ongoing support group to provide information, nurturing, and companionship to persons providing care for another. Come by yourself or bring someone who is important to you. The group will be led by a licensed clinical social worker. Group meets every Tuesday evening; however, it is not necessary to attend every week. First session free, each session thereafter is $1.00 per class. Diabetes Support Group is held the second and fourth Tuesday each month at 7:00 p.m. at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. The support group will provide education and mutual encouragement. Speakers in attendance by schedule. For further information, call 310-784-3792.

Drop-in Grief Support Group is available Monday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday afternoons from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Health Conference Center. Come when you can, come when you must, but know that we'll be there for you. For more information, call 310-784-3751.

Lymphedema Discussion Group offered by Torrance Memorial and The Wellness Community-South Bay Cities (TWC-SBC) offering educational, clinical, psychological and social support to anyone with lymphedema. Medication Support Group: Questions for the Pharmacist is a free monthly drop-in support group for people with questions about their medicines. It provides help in understanding and managing medication to improve effective usage. For more information or location, please call 310-517-4701.

"Take Heart" Support Group is a peer support group for individuals with heart disease and their significant others. Our goal is to help you establish stronger support systems by offering reassurance, comfort, support and fellowship. In a roundtable discussion environment, "Take Heart" is facilitated by a person who has experienced a cardiac event. This service is offered free.
