Basic Arrhythmia Course
This course is designed for Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses, but may be attended by unit secretaries, monitor technicians and others. This course is a combination self-learning (approximately eight hours a week) and in classroom program. Course fee is $75.00 plus a required textbook (approximately $35.00). Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course
This two-day course provides a comprehensive review of the knowledge needed to administer cytotoxic and biotherapeutic agents. Upon successful completion of the course and post-test, participants will receive an ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card. The course fee includes all course materials, copy of the
ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Guidelines and Recommendations for Practice, 3rd Ed., continental breakfast both days, and Continuing Nursing Education Credits. BRN approved for 13.5 CEUs, Provider No. 2850.

Cost for the course is $225 ($100 for Torrance Memorial employees and POSS). A full refund will be given if this program is cancelled. Annual Oncology Symposium
The 21st Annual Oncology Symposium for healthcare professionals will be held on Friday April 20, 2012. This year's conference features speakers on latest treatments for lung cancer and cancers of the head and neck, safe handling of hazardous drugs, interventional radiology for management of solid organ tumors, integrative medicine for risk reduction and symptom management, and evidence-based pain project for inpatient adult oncology.
