Heart Health Education Programs

"Heart to Heart" Inpatient Visitation Program provides you and your family with the opportunity to share your hopes and concerns about being diagnosed with heart disease with an empathetic listener who has experienced a cardiac event. Our group of volunteers understand the sense of sadness, anxiety or concern you and your family may be experiencing and are available to talk with you and your family while you are in the hospital. For more information, call the Delpit Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, 310-517-4737.

"Take Heart" Support Group is a peer support group for individuals with heart disease and their significant others. Our goal is to help you establish stronger support systems by offering reassurance, comfort, support and fellowship. In a roundtable discussion environment, "Take Heart" is facilitated by a person who has experienced a cardiac event. This service is offered free. Meetings are the first Wednesday of every month, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 310-517-4737.
