AARP Driver Safety
In this class taught by an AARP instructor, you will review essential driving concepts, learn techniques to help compensate for age-related physical changes that affect driving ability and become updated on current laws of the road. Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive a California DMV certificate which may qualify you for an appropriate discount on your automobile insurance. If you have taken the 8-hour class within the past 3 years and are looking to renew your driving certificate, a 4-hour refresher course is available.

B.E.S.T. Exercise
Do you have a fear of falling? Would you like to be stronger? Are you out of breath after walking up a flight of stairs? Do you lose your balance standing on one leg? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions this class is right for you. Studies show balance, strength and endurance decrease as we age. You can counteract this with physical exercise and balance training.

Fall Prevention
Participants will be introduced to several different disciplines that can assist them in long-term improvement of balance skills including:
- Exercise for coordination and balance
- Stress reduction
- Principles of T'ai Chi
- Foot and posture exercises
- Home safety suggestions
- Multi-tasking
- Stretching
- Vision

The Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) of The Center for Health Care Rights provides free information, couseling and advocacy to Medicare beneficiaries. The Center for Health Care Rights provides HICAP counseling, legal services and community education programs on Medicare and Medicare-related health insurance.
