Look Good.. Feel Better: A free program that teaches beauty techniques to women who are actively undergoing cancer treatment to help them combat the appearance-related side effects of radiation and chemotherapy.
Woman to Woman Image Enhancement Program
Woman to Woman is a free confidential consultation for women experiencing hair loss from cancer or its treatment. Cancer patients face numerous side effects on their way to recovery. Here, women can learn techniques to enhance their appearance during and after radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Hugs Support Group
"Hugs" Cancer Survivorship Support Group for Women is a gathering of women that offers an opportunity to share stories, gather information and be surrounded by others who have embarked on a similar journey of healing. Facilitated by Kathy Calderon Lacey, NP, MFT, Tuesdays at 10:00am in the West Tower. Monthly guest lecturers are featured the first Tuesday of every month. All topics are related to coping and healing.

"Hugs" Family Cancer Support Group is a drop-in group for the family members and loved ones going through the cancer journey. No reservations or registration is required. Breast Self-Examination Training: If you are a woman, you owe yourself a visit to the Torrance Memorial Breast Diagnostic Center for free breast self-examination training. A registered nurse with advanced training in breast health will teach self-administered breast examination techniques. Appointments are free of charge, but scheduling is necessary.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please call for more information.
Cancer Survivors' Day Celebration: Whether your cancer experience is in the past or present, come and enjoy food, fun and laughter at our annual June event. This celebration is free of charge to cancer survivors, their family and friends. Please call for more information.
Reach to Recovery: This is a free program offered in collaboration with the American Cancer Society. Trained volunteers who are breast cancer survivors themselves provide information and support for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. Services include coaching and post-surgery arm exercises.
