South Bay Survivorship Consortium
Torrance Memorial Medical Center, HealthCare Partners Medical Group, Cancer Care Associates and the California Hematology Oncology Medical Group have joined together in partnership and formed the South Bay Survivorship Consortium to bring a wider array of support resources to those diagnosed with cancer, undergoing treatment or in remission.
The group will present “Exploring Dimensions of Your Survivorship: A Workshop for Cancer Survivors and Loved Ones,” from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 17 in the West Tower Auditorium, 2nd Floor.
Admission is FREE.

Connecting Mind & Body
: A Monthly Cancer Survivor's Workshop
Learn, ask questions and get insightful experience on Cancer Survivorship issues and mind & body work techniques.
Each workshop will include a discussion of topics of interest to cancer survivors and their loved ones. Healthy Ever After - A nutrition program for children and families!
These fun, interactive classes on nutrition and fitness will be taught by registered dietitians and guest instructors including a psychologist and exercise physiologist. The program promotes healthy lifestyle choices by providing useful information and practical tips through hands-on learning, fun exercises, parent and child activities and more.
For children aged 9 to 12 and their families; open to all, not just for those seeking weight management. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. One Tuesday per month, from 6pm - 8pm. June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9, December 14. Families do not have to start at any particular time, or finish all 12 months. "Hugs" Cancer Survivorship Support Group for Women is a gathering of women that offers an opportunity to share stories, gather information and be surrounded by others who have embarked on a similar journey of healing.
