Pain Management and Beyond: An Integral Aspect of Health Care

This program aims to present topics that are relevant to acquire greater
knowledge in pain management, promote safe and quality patient care and
enhance patient hospital experience.
Participants will be able to:
- Have insight on latest trends in pain management
- Apply knowledge of anesthesiology concepts to pain management in the care
of patients in pre-operative and post-operative phase of hospital care
- To utilize CDC Guidelines/Recommendation in chronic pain management
- Apply principles of multi-modal pain management
- Gain understanding why use of opioids fail and how to deliver success
- Get insight in trends in the medical use and abuse of opioid analgesics
and prescribing laws and regulations on the use of narcotics
Nurses, physicians CNAs/Tech, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and
other health care professionals.
Continuing Education Credit
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider
Number CEP 300.
Registration fee includes lectures, continental breakfast, lunch, snack,

If space is available, walk-in registration will be accepted at the door.
Lunch will be provided for walk-ins if supplies allow.
A full refund will be given if this program is canceled. No fees will be
refunded if the participant cancels within 48 hours of the program. Cancellations
prior to 48 hours will receive a refund, minus a $20 processing fee.

The Hoffman Health Conference Center is located on Medical Center Drive
between Lomita Blvd. and Skypark Drive. Parking is free in the adjacent
in the West Parking structure.
From the Westside or the San Fernando Valley
Take the 405 Freeway South, exit Hawthorne Boulevard, and turn right. Go
approximately 4.5 miles and turn left on Lomita Boulevard. The medical
center will be on your right.
From Long Beach or Orange County
Take the 405 Freeway North. Transition to the Harbor Freeway (110) South
toward San Pedro. Exit Sepulveda Boulevard and turn right, go about 2
miles and turn left on Crenshaw Boulevard; go about 1 mile and turn right
on Lomita Boulevard; go about 1 mile and the medical center will be on
