Coping with cancer treatments often extends beyond physical symptoms to the core of a patient's self image. The Cancer Resource Center offers free programs to empower patients by teaching how to enhance their appearance while undergoing treatment. These programs help bolster self-esteem and help you or a loved one continue to live fully while fighting the disease.
Woman to Woman Program
Women particularly may be troubled by hair loss that is a common side effect of chemotherapy. The Woman to Woman Image Enhancement Center assists women to learn about use of scarves, turbans, hats and hairpieces to cope with hair loss related to cancer treatment or other medical conditions. Service is free and includes a private appointment, totebag, resource guide, turban and scarf. Located in the West Tower 1st floor near HealthlLinks.

Look Good.. Feel Better Workshop
This free half-day workshop hosted by the American Cancer Society gained national renown for offering cancer patients hands-on instruction by a licensed cosmetologist on how to enhance their appearance before, during and after cancer treatment. Patients are instructed in the creative use of cosmetics and headwear to brighten their look and create positive emotional energy.
