With resource or consultant supervision the Level III Administrative RN
is responsible for the shift-to-shift adjustments in staffing for the
Division of Nursing to adapt to patient care needs, volume, and staff
availability changes. The person in this position is responsible for the
clinical practice of nursing in the absence of a unit's supervisor
or director. This position serves as the Medical Center's administrative
representative on the premises when the administration department is closed.
Graduate of a professional and accredited school of nursing. Diploma or
official transcripts required.
Must be licensed as a RN in the State of California and have a currenct
BCLS certification from the AHA .
Three years of supervisor/managerial experience.
Knowledge of, and ability to, apply managerial skills to include problem
solving, goal and priority setting, budgeting, etc.
Ability to demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates an awareness of current issues confronting nursing professionals
and how these issues impact in today's hospital environment.
