Responsible as a member of the interdisciplinary team for the clinical
management of the patient. Provides preventative and supportive measures
as appropriate for the care and safety of terminally ill patients and
families in their homes. Identifies and implements nursing interventions
that have less predictable outcomes and evaluates the plan of care based
on changes to patient status and care needs. Takes responsibility for
decisions and plans for the solution of patient care problems within the
designated clinical area. The Hospice nurse uses assessment, observation,
teaching and intervention skills to provide comfort and care and to maximize
quality of life to the patient and his/her family.
Current California RN license. Current BCLS certification from the AHA.
Current CA Drivers License. One year clinical experience. Graduated from
an accrediated school of nursing.
