Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this program participants should be able to:

  • Understand how the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) score relates to trauma and addiction disorders in adulthood
  • Describe how perceived threats to our well-being are processed differently in the brain than other experiences
  • Explain why interventions that target the trauma-storage areas of the brain are so important in the treatment of trauma syndromes and addiction
