The Ambassadors Program is the oldest support organization of the Torrance Memorial Health Care Foundation. Membership is comprised of community leaders, dedicated to promoting and financially contributing to Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Their philanthropic and volunteer commitment plays a significant role in the healthcare programs and services offered at the medical center, which benefit many South Bay and Peninsula residents.
Programs partially funded through the work of the Ambassadors include:
- Burn Center
- Cancer Resource Center
- Health Education
- Pediatric Rehabilitation
Ambassador Members Represent
Ambassador members represent the medical center in the community and share a vision for the hospital's future with other volunteers, employees and the medical staff. As an Ambassador, a member offers his or her knowledge of Torrance Memorial to individuals who are less familiar with the services and opportunities available at the medical center.
Members also encourage business associates, friends and family to join them at annual Foundation fund-raising events, including the summer golf tournament and the end-of-the-year Holiday Festival.
With Ambassador support comes involvement, recognition and the satisfaction of knowing you're making an important contribution to your community. In gratitude, the Health Care Foundation provides Ambassador members with special courtesies based on membership level.
